Welcome to Korea! Part 1 - Gyeonggi & Jeju

Welcome to Korea!

This is my first post to tell you more about Korea.
I will share the experiences I had during my FIRST trip to Korea back then in May'2012. I will cover Gyeonggi (경기도) and Jeju (제주도).

Since it was our first time, we decided to go for a tour package. We picked Chan's Brother 8D6N Flavor of Korea. Places covered during the tour as following -  Jeju, Seoul, Mount Sorak, Yongpyeong (Pyeongchang), Paju (Gyeonggi).

1. Paju (Gyeonggi)
Gyeonggi-do is the most popular province in South Korea. It is nearby to Seoul and Incheon.

We visited The Skin Anniversary Beauty Town, the biggest beauty complex in the world, located in Paju. We had skin analysis and facial treatment there. :)

Next, we visited Paju Premium Outlet, the second premium outlet in Korea featuring 160 designers and brandname outlet at saving of 25% - 65%.

2. Jeju-do (제주도)
We visited the Seongsan Sunrise Peak (성산일출봉). It has such magnificent view and it is really very beautiful. It was quite a windy day. The place was filled with yellow flowers during spring. You should visit this place when you are in Jeju.

Another place that we went to was Jeju Folk Village, a folk and history museum with miniature displays of traditional villages. It is also the filming site of the Korean drama, "Dae Jang Geum". I managed to see a real Jeju native swine there! Hehehe

This is real hor! not fake animal

the "man" looks so real! hehehe

Next place covered was Kimyoung Maze Park, a mini maze whereby it is similar to the one in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, made by strategically placing spruce trees to create a labyrinth. Since this maze is rather small and my friend really knows how to read the map, we finished it fast! hehehe

Ok that is all for Part 1 of my post which covered Gyeonggi-do and Jeju-do.

Do keep a lookout of my next post which will cover Mt Sorak, Yongpyong and Seoul!!!

Love,

Shasha
